Placements24 is seeking a highly vigilant Remote Telecom Network Security Analyst to safeguard critical network infrastructure. This fully remote position supports our telecom client from anywhere within South Africa.

You will monitor network activity, analyze security alerts, perform vulnerability assessments, and implement robust security measures to protect confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data and services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in network security, preferably in telecommunications.
• Strong understanding of firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM and VPN technologies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network traffic and systems for security breaches and suspicious activities using advanced security tools.
• Analyze security alerts and incidents, performing root cause analysis and remediation steps.
• Develop, implement, and maintain network security policies and procedures.
