Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Community Development Facilitator to join a remote team focused on Paarl and surrounding areas. You will lead community-driven development initiatives and coordinate with residents, leaders, and local organizations to identify needs and implement sustainable solutions.

The role emphasizes grassroots development, program management, and collaboration across partners to empower communities through inclusive, impact-driven actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Proven remote facilitation and community engagement experience.
• Experience coordinating with local residents and organizations.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate planning processes to identify local priorities and develop strategies.
• Organize and run workshops, trainings, and community meetings.
• Link community members to resources and opportunities.
• Build relationships with community, government, and partner orgs.
• Monitor progress and report impact of initiatives.
• Promote inclusivity, equity, and sustainability in activities.
