Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an innovative Community Development Facilitator to drive positive change in Stellenbosch and surrounding communities in the Western Cape. The role centers on empowering residents, developing sustainable local projects, and building capacity within community groups.

You will work remotely, collaborate with local stakeholders, and use digital tools to coordinate efforts and share resources, contributing to social impact and community resilience.

Qualifications

• Degree in Community Development or related field.
• Proven experience in community development facilitation, project management, or participatory planning.
• Strong understanding of sustainable development principles.
• Excellent facilitation, communication, and report-writing skills.
• Proficiency in using digital collaboration tools for remote work.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement community development strategies and projects.
• Facilitate participatory planning with community members and local organizations.
• Provide training and capacity building to community groups.
• Mobilize community resources and foster partnerships with local stakeholders and government agencies.
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of community development initiatives, reporting on progress.
• Manage project budgets and ensure timely delivery of project outputs.
