Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Community Advocate to champion community needs across the Northern Cape, starting with Upington. This fully remote role leverages digital tools to connect with individuals, understand challenges, and advocate for access to resources and services.

You will develop advocacy strategies, coordinate virtual town halls, and connect people with social services while maintaining detailed digital records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Public Policy, Community Development, or a related field.
• Proven advocacy, community organizing, or social support experience.
• Excellent virtual communication and remote engagement skills.
• Ability to use digital tools and online research methods.
• Strong understanding of social justice and community development principles.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously remotely.

Responsibilities

About the Role

In this fully remote position, you will utilize digital tools and platforms to connect with community members, understand their challenges, and advocate for improved access to resources and services.
