Job summary

HireHawk is hiring a Clinical Documentation & Medical Practice Assistant to support a neurologist remotely from South Africa. You will handle clinical documentation, medical records, and related workflows for hospital-based and private practice operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

The role involves reviewing AI-generated notes, managing patient intake and scheduling, and coordinating with attorneys and external parties while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of healthcare-related experience (preferred: medical scribing, clinical documentation, medical records, or related clinical support).
• Clinical background strongly preferred: foreign-trained physician, RN, Senior Medical Scribe, or Clinical Documentation Specialist.
• Excellent written English and ability to produce accurate, professional medical documentation.
• Experience reviewing, editing and correcting clinical/medical notes and AI-generated documentation.
• Strong proficiency with AI tools and technology and ability to learn new systems quickly.

Responsibilities

• Support a neurologist with accurate clinical documentation and medical record management.
• Review, edit, and correct physician notes and AI-generated documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Identify missing or inconsistent information in medical records and maintain organized EHR data.
• Manage patient intake, scheduling, and communication with patients, attorneys, and external parties.
• Prepare referrals and ensure delivery of required documentation to attorneys and external recipients.
• Follow templates and physician-specific workflows; resolve routine issues independently.
