Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Civil Design Engineer to join a remote-first national team. You will design civil infrastructure components, including roads and drainage, and prepare detailed drawings and specifications for tender and construction.

Based near Centurion, Gauteng, you will collaborate with distributed teams, manage tasks independently, and stay updated on SA civil standards and remote collaboration tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• ECSA Pr.Eng./Techni-Eng. registration is desirable.
• Minimum 6 years in civil design for infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and design civil infrastructure components (roads, earthworks, drainage, utilities).
• Prepare drawings, calculations and specs for tender/construction.
• Collaborate with remote project managers and engineers via digital tools.
• Ensure designs comply with SANS, by-laws and environmental regs.
• Review designs and provide constructive feedback; support cost estimates.
