Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Civil Design Engineer to join an expanding virtual engineering team. The role focuses on developing detailed civil designs and construction documents from a remote setup, contributing to national projects across South Africa.

You will collaborate with project managers and engineering teams remotely, applying your AutoCAD Civil 3D skills and civil design knowledge to ensure compliant, high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of civil engineering design experience, preferably with infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other civil design software.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong knowledge of South African civil engineering standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed civil designs for infrastructure projects, including site layouts and grading plans.
• Produce construction drawings, specifications, and reports using CAD and related software.
• Collaborate with remote project managers and engineers across locations.
• Perform design reviews, calculations, and analysis to ensure feasibility and safety.
• Research and recommend suitable materials and construction methods.
• Maintain project documentation and records for all design activities.
