Job summary

Placements24 seeks a highly organized Remote Catering Logistics Coordinator to manage nationwide delivery of catering supplies, equipment, and personnel. This role operates from a remote setup and requires strong planning, communication, and problem-solving skills to ensure timely, cost-efficient service at event sites.

You will coordinate transportation, optimize routes, monitor inventory, and liaise with vendors and catering staff to support seamless events across Gauteng and beyond.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in logistics, supply chain, or similar role.
• Experience managing remote logistics operations.
• Strong transportation management and scheduling knowledge.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with logistics software and inventory systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate delivery of catering supplies, equipment, and items to event sites.
• Optimize transport routes and schedules for catering deliveries.
• Liaise with staff, vendors and third-party logistics providers to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain accurate inventory records for equipment and supplies.
• Monitor delivery status and address delays or issues promptly.
• Assist in planning large catering events by coordinating resources.
• Refine logistics procedures to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Prepare reports on logistics performance and utilization.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards.
