Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Remote Aviation Safety Manager to lead safety initiatives and foster a strong safety culture from anywhere. The role oversees the SMS, drives continuous improvement, and ensures robust safety performance across all aviation operations in a fully remote setting.

The candidate will have a Master's degree in Aviation Safety or related field, at least 7 years in aviation safety management, and deep knowledge of ICAO Annex 19, EASA, and FAA standards.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in Aviation Safety, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in aviation safety management.
• In-depth knowledge of ICAO Annex 19, EASA, FAA and other relevant international aviation safety regulations.
• Demonstrated expertise in SMS implementation, risk management, and safety auditing.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the organization's Safety Management System (SMS).
• Oversee hazard identification, risk assessment, and mitigation processes across all operational areas.
• Manage the incident and accident investigation process, ensuring thorough root cause analysis and timely corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver comprehensive safety training programs to foster a strong safety culture.
• Monitor regulatory changes and ensure ongoing compliance with all relevant aviation safety standards.
• Promote a proactive safety reporting culture and analyze safety data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
