Independent Monitoring Company is seeking a Reliever Supervisor to oversee remote off-site monitoring operations from our Cape Town base. You will lead a team, drive performance, and ensure service excellence in a high-pressure environment.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, clear communication, and proactive coaching to maintain productivity, handle incidents, and deliver reliable reports to senior management. A relevant supervisory background is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years’ supervisory experience (control room or call centre preferred).
• Proven leadership and ability to delegate effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Strong technical knowledge is beneficial.
• PSIRA registered / Police clearance current.
• Excellent telephone etiquette and computer literacy (MS Office).

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily operations within the monitoring/control room
• Lead, motivate, and support a team to ensure optimal performance
• Monitor staff productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching
• Handle escalations, incidents, and emergency situations efficiently
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations
• Compile reports and communicate effectively with senior management
• Maintain high levels of customer service and client satisfaction

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a supervisory role (preferably in a control room or call centre environment)
• Strong leadership and motivational skills with the ability to delegate effectively
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Strong technical knowledge is beneficial
• Valid Police Clearance / Criminal Record Check (not older than 6 months)
• PSIRA registered
• Excellent telephone etiquette
• Must be computer literate (MS Office and monitoring systems experience advantageous)
• Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
