About the Role Our client, a well-established national retail brand, is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Regional Retail Operations Manager to oversee operations across multiple stores in the Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal region. This pivotal role requires a strategic leader with a deep understanding of retail management, P&L responsibility, and a proven ability to drive performance across diverse store environments. You will be responsible for ensuring operational consistency, maximizing profitability, and upholding the brand's standards across your designated region. This position involves significant travel within the Richards Bay area and surrounding territories. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership qualities, a strong analytical skillset, and a passion for operational excellence within the retail sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all retail operations within the assigned region, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
• Develop and implement regional strategies to achieve sales, profitability, and operational targets.
• Oversee store managers, providing guidance, support, and performance management.
• Monitor financial performance, including P&L statements, budgeting, and cost control for all stores in the Richards Bay area.
• Ensure consistent application of brand standards, visual merchandising, and operational procedures across all locations.
• Identify training needs and implement development programs for store staff and management.
• Drive initiatives to enhance customer experience and satisfaction across the region.
• Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
• Manage regional inventory levels and implement effective loss prevention strategies.
• Conduct regular site visits and performance reviews for each store.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in retail management, with at least 3 years in a multi-unit or regional management role.
• Demonstrated success in driving sales growth and managing profitability within a retail environment.
• Strong understanding of retail operations, supply chain, merchandising, and loss prevention.
• Proven leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to influence and motivate others.
• Excellent financial acumen, including P&L management, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal region and potentially beyond.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in retail management software and MS Office Suite.
