About the Role

Our client, a leading real estate investment and development firm with a substantial presence in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal , is seeking a highly organized and experienced Real Estate Transactions Manager. This role is central to managing the successful execution of all property acquisitions and disposals, ensuring deals are closed efficiently and profitably. You will oversee the entire transaction process, from initial negotiation and due diligence through to contract finalization and post-closing integration. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial analysis skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of real estate transaction complexities. You will work closely with internal legal teams, external advisors, financial institutions, and sellers/buyers to navigate deals smoothly. Key Responsibilities

Manage the end-to-end process for all real estate acquisitions and dispositions. Coordinate with the asset management and property management teams for seamless handover post-closing. Identify and resolve any issues or roadblocks that may arise during the transaction process. Maintain organized records of all transaction documentation.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business Administration, Law, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in real estate transactions, corporate finance, or a related transactional role. Demonstrated experience in managing complex real estate deals from initiation to closing. Strong understanding of real estate finance, valuation, and legal principles relevant to transactions. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Proficiency in financial modeling and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel. Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently, manage multiple competing priorities, and meet strict deadlines. Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Familiarity with the Pietermaritzburg and KwaZulu-Natal property market is a significant advantage.
