Qualifications

• Grade 12 or NQF4 is mandatory.
• At least 3 years experience in installation and maintenance of rail networks.
• Valid Code 10 License & PDP.
• Medically fit to work in the specific business area.
• Clear security screening record.
• Must hold one of: Tracklayer Certificate; Boilermaker/Platter Trade Certificate; Blasting Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Administration and completion of relevant documentation.
• Provisioning of data and information; adherence to document control standards.
• Maintenance, installations and construction of surface rail networks per Transnet specs and SANS 3000.
• Safe, correct and effective use of equipment and machinery.
• Adherence to maintenance schedules and escalation of unresolved breakdowns.
