Job summary

Harsco Rail is seeking a Field Service Technician to maintain and repair the Stoneblower fleet in Pretoria. You will perform planned maintenance, repairs to competency, and assist the Field Service Manager in achieving KPIs and safety targets.

You will also conduct competency assessments, ensure maintenance is on schedule, and uphold 5S and documentation standards across the fleet. A time-served engineering apprenticeship and PT Safety qualifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprenticeship in engineering.
• Personal Track Safety.
• Assessor qualification.

Responsibilities

• Complete planned VMI activities on the Stoneblower Fleet to maximise availability and reliability.
• Carry out repairs on the Stoneblower fleet to competency levels.
• Support the Stoneblower Field Service Manager in achieving desired targets and KPI’s.
• Complete assessments as required by the Field Service Manager.
• Ensure maintenance activities are completed on time.
• Maintain 5S levels and quality documentation; ensure safety/compliance.
