Job summary
Diagnostic Radiological Services Inc. is sourcing a Receptionist to join our radiology reception team. You will warmly welcome patients, update their details, provide exam quotes and handle co-payments while answering queries and maintaining accurate records.
The role requires Grade 12, proficiency in Word/Excel/Outlook, 2-3 years in a high-pressure environment, and familiarity with medical aid, PMB rules, and POPI Act regulations.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 is required or equivalent.
- Intermediate Word, Excel and Outlook proficiency.
- 2-3 years’ experience in a professional high-pressure environment.
- Knowledge of medical aid and PMB rules will be beneficial.
- Knowledge of the POPI Act regulations for healthcare will be beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Acknowledge all patients with warmth and friendliness, showing empathy where needed.
- Capture all patient info correctly, checking info as you type (minimum 6 patients per hour).
- Provide quotes for exams and take co-payments/short payments by medical aids.
- Explain prep for CT & MRI exams and provide prep info.
- Obtain Authorization for all examinations and process payments for private patients.
- Scan and attach all relevant documents to patient profiles.
