Placements24 is seeking a Quality Control Engineer for an on-site role in Polokwane. The position focuses on developing, implementing, and maintaining quality control systems across manufacturing processes to meet stringent standards and customer specs.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in engineering and 3+ years in manufacturing QA, with strong SPC, CAPA, and ISO 9001 knowledge. You will collaborate with production, engineering and supply chain teams to uphold quality excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years in quality control/quality assurance within manufacturing.
• Proven experience with SPC techniques and tools.
• Strong understanding of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
• Experience with CAPA (root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions).
• Proficiency with measurement and testing equipment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to train and influence others.
• Detail-oriented with high accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive quality control plans and procedures for all manufacturing processes.
• Oversee the inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods.
• Utilize statistical methods (SPC) to monitor and control product quality.
• Investigate quality deviations, identify root causes, and implement CAPA.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
• Maintain accurate quality records, test results, and inspection reports.
• Participate in internal and external quality audits.
• Work with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials and components.
• Develop and deliver quality awareness training to production personnel.
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve product quality and manufacturing processes.
• Stay updated on ISO 9001 standards and regulations.
