Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Industrial Engineer to enhance quality systems and processes in the Eastern Cape facilities, based in Port Elizabeth. The role analyzes production data to boost product quality, reduce defects, and ensure consistency across operations in a remote-friendly setting.

You will implement robust QC measures, drive continuous improvement, and maintain quality documentation while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years in industrial engineering focused on quality systems.
• Experience with ISO 9001 quality management.
• Proficiency in SPC and FMEA.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production data to identify root causes of quality issues.
• Develop and implement SPC methodologies.
• Design and refine quality assurance procedures and protocols.
• Lead CAPA activities with production teams.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce waste and improve quality.
• Maintain quality documentation (SOPs, work instructions).
• Conduct internal audits of quality management systems.
• Use tools like FMEA, Pareto charts, and fishbone diagrams.
• Monitor quality metrics and report trends.
