Job summary

Standard Bank Insurance Brokers in the Western Cape seeks a provincial supervisor to assist branches in achieving sales, income and profit budgets. The role focuses on training and motivating staff while ensuring compliant execution of sales plans for Insurance and Bancassurance products.

The candidate will have Matric, Regulatory Examination, a valid driver’s license and 2–5 years of sales experience with a proven track record, including presenting a business case to groups and familiarity with

• Proven sales track record and ability to present a business case to groups.
• Familiarity with branch banking processes and consumer products.

Responsibilities

• Support provincial manager/supervisor in achieving provincial goals and budgets.
• Train, motivate and coach branch staff to drive sales of Insurance and Bancassurance products.
• Ensure compliance targets are met and sales plans are effectively implemented.
• Collaborate with branch teams to identify and pursue sales opportunities.

Business Segment: Personal & Private Banking

To support the provincial manager/supervisor in achieving the provincial (personal and commercial) goals, income and profit budgets by way of managing the behavior of staff and relationships with group company staff in branches, through training, support and motivation.To ensure on-going and successful sales and distribution of Insurance and Bancassurance products through the branch network (branch including business staff). To implement sales plans/actions and identify sales opportunities. To ensure all compliance issues are dealt with and compliance targets are met.

Qualifications

• Completed Matric
• Regulatory Examination
• Valid driver’s license

Experience

• 2-5 years Sales experience
• Proven sales track record.
• Experience in presenting a business case / sales pitch to a group.Experience in performing elementary functions and other computer systems.Previous experience in the Banking and Sales experience in the relevant industry. Knowledge of Consumer products required for understanding the context of stated client demands. Knowledge of the procedures and the interdependencies of the various functions performed in Branch.
