Job summary

peopleworth is seeking a practical Property Maintenance Invigilator to support daily upkeep of commercial properties in Bellville. You will inspect sites, identify maintenance issues, perform minor repairs, and coordinate contractors where needed.

You must work independently across multiple properties, prioritise tasks, maintain records, and communicate updates clearly. A driver’s license and reliable transport are essential to travel between sites.

Qualifications

Experience in property or facilities maintenance and basic repairs.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport for travel between sites.

Responsibilities

Conduct regular inspections of commercial properties to identify maintenance needs.
Prioritise issues by urgency and impact; determine appropriate action.
Complete minor repairs (doors, locks, walls, fixtures, gates, windows).
Address basic plumbing issues where safe; refer complex work to professionals.
Identify roof leaks and waterproofing concerns; escalate when needed.
Identify electrical and lighting issues and refer to licensed professionals when required.
Coordinate contractors, obtain quotations, and monitor progress.
