Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in petroleum engineering with emphasis on production optimization and artificial lift.
• Proficiency in production analysis software and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Analyze well performance data to diagnose issues and identify optimization opportunities.
• Implement and manage artificial lift systems (ESPs, rod pumps, gas lift).
• Conduct nodal analysis to optimize production flow from reservoir to surface facilities.
• Evaluate and recommend enhanced oil recovery (EOR) techniques where applicable.
• Collaborate with reservoir engineers, geologists, and facilities engineers to develop integrated production strategies.
• Monitor the performance of production facilities and troubleshoot operational problems.
• Develop and implement well intervention strategies (workovers, stimulation).
• Prepare technical reports, forecasts, and recommendations for production enhancement projects.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations in Vereeniging operations.
• Stay current with new technologies and best practices in production engineering.
