Placements24 is seeking a Senior Production Engineer for our client in Pretoria, Gauteng. The role focuses on optimizing production from existing fields while ensuring safe, efficient operations of all facilities.

You will analyze production data, troubleshoot issues, and implement strategies to maximize hydrocarbon recovery and minimize costs. The ideal candidate has a strong background in surface facilities and artificial lift systems, with experience in production optimization techniques.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum or Chemical Engineering.
• 7+ years in production engineering in Oil & Gas.
• Experience with surface facilities, artificial lift, and optimization.
• Familiarity with HAZOP studies is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze production performance for wells and facilities.
• Identify opportunities for production enhancement and implement strategies (e.g., artificial lift optimization, choke management).
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to production facilities, pipelines, and equipment.
• Conduct integrity checks and performance reviews of production equipment.
• Develop and manage operational budgets for production activities.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with reservoir, drilling, and maintenance teams.
• Prepare technical reports on production performance and improvement initiatives.
• Provide technical support and guidance to field operations personnel.
