Placements24 is seeking a diligent Procurement Officer for a growing construction company in Mahikeng, North West. The role focuses on sourcing materials, negotiating with suppliers, and managing procurement processes to keep projects on time and within budget.

It is a hybrid position requiring on-site collaboration with project teams, with remote administrative tasks. The candidate should have 2–4 years' procurement experience, familiarity with construction materials, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in construction.
• Familiarity with construction materials and supply chains.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• MS Office Suite, especially Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure construction materials, equipment, and services from approved vendors.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to achieve competitive costs.
• Process purchase requisitions and manage purchase orders accurately.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
