Placements24 in Mahikeng is seeking a junior Procurement Officer to support daily purchasing activities. You will assist with requisitions, supplier communications, and maintaining records, gaining hands-on experience in procurement processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A relevant tertiary qualification or coursework is a plus.
• Some administrative or customer service experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of procurement principles or a strong willingness to learn.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
• Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and processing of purchase requisitions and orders.
• Research and identify potential suppliers based on defined criteria.
• Maintain accurate records of suppliers, purchase orders, and delivery schedules.
• Communicate with suppliers to follow up on orders and resolve basic inquiries.
• Support senior procurement staff with data collection and report preparation.
• Perform general administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the procurement office.
