Placements24 is seeking a talented Process Engineer to join our client’s operations near Paarl, South Africa. The role focuses on process optimization, troubleshooting, and the design of new or modified equipment within chemical and petrochemical industries.

You will analyze operational data, identify improvements, and implement solutions to enhance efficiency, yield, and safety. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, 3–5 years of industrial experience, and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
3-5 years of experience as a Process Engineer in an industrial setting.
Experience with process simulation software (Aspen HYSYS, ChemCAD).
Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and mass transfer.
Experience with P&ID development and HAZOP studies is advantageous.
Good communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment in Paarl.

Responsibilities

Analyze process data to identify opportunities for efficiency, yield, and cost improvements.
Develop and implement process modifications and optimization strategies.
Design and specify new process equipment and systems, ensuring compliance with standards.
Conduct feasibility studies and technical evaluations for process enhancements.
Troubleshoot operational issues and provide technical support to plant personnel.
Prepare technical reports, calculations, and process documentation.
