Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer for a leading chemical manufacturer near Klerksdorp, North West. The role blends on-site plant work with remote analysis to optimize production, safety, and product quality.

You will leverage process simulation tools and collaborate across operations, R&D and management to drive innovative manufacturing solutions in the region.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering required.
• Minimum 6 years in process engineering in chemical manufacturing.
• Strong fundamentals and ability to model and optimize processes.
• Experience with P&ID and PFD development; proficiency with Aspen HYSYS/ChemCAD.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize chemical manufacturing processes for efficiency, safety and cost.
• Design and implement process improvements and new technologies.
• Use process simulation software for modeling and optimization.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process performance issues.
• Develop P&IDs and PFDs for new and existing plants.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses.
• Oversee pilot plant trials and scale-up activities.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regs.
• Collaborate with maintenance and operations for uptime and reliability.
• Prepare technical reports and guidelines.
