The role involves scale-up from lab to pilot and commercial scale, development of analytical methods, and technology transfer, with emphasis on yield, purity, and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in a relevant field
• Minimum 3 years in process development in pharma or fine chemicals
• Strong understanding of organic synthesis and reaction kinetics
• Experience with process scale-up, tech transfer, and GMP environments
• Proficiency in analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, NMR, and MS

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize chemical synthesis routes and manufacturing processes for pharmaceutical intermediates and APIs
• Conduct process development studies, including route scouting, reaction optimization, and purification strategies
• Perform scale-up activities from laboratory to pilot plant and commercial manufacturing scales, ensuring process robustness and safety
• Develop and validate analytical methods required for process monitoring and control
• Troubleshoot manufacturing process issues and implement effective solutions to improve yield, purity, and efficiency
• Prepare detailed process development reports, batch records, and technology transfer documentation
