Job summary

Placements24 seeks a hands-on Production Operations Manager to lead a manufacturing facility in Benoni, Gauteng. You will optimize production processes, drive safety, quality, and efficiency, and manage the on-site production team to meet targets.

You will develop schedules, lead continuous improvement, manage budgets, and ensure regulatory compliance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
• Experience leading production operations and teams in a manufacturing setting.
• Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the production process from raw materials to finished goods, ensuring efficiency and quality.
• Develop and implement production schedules and strategies to meet demand while optimizing resources.
• Lead, train, and motivate the production team, fostering safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Manage the production budget, control costs, and drive profitability.
• Implement and maintain quality control standards and ensure safety and environmental compliance.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to boost productivity and reduce waste.
