Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Production Operations Manager to oversee the Polokwane facility. This role drives all production activities, ensures quality and delivery targets, and leads a safety-focused team in implementing lean improvements.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in production management, strong leadership, and hands-on experience with production planning software and factory automation. This is a full‑time on-site role based in Polokwane.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in production management.
• Experience with lean manufacturing and process improvement.
• Knowledge of quality control systems and safety management.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Experience with production planning software and factory automation is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize all production processes to meet quality, output targets, and delivery schedules.
• Oversee daily production activities, ensuring efficient workflow and resource utilization in the Polokwane plant.
• Lead, train, and mentor the production team, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Implement lean manufacturing initiatives and other process improvements.
• Ensure safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
• Monitor production costs and strategize to improve profitability and reduce waste.
