Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Plant Supervisor for its Midrand facility. You will oversee daily production, drive efficiency, and uphold safety and quality standards.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will lead a team and partner with multiple departments to ensure smooth operations. The role requires a track record in manufacturing with at least 5 years experience, including 2 in supervision, and a strong grasp of lean principles and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in manufacturing or production, with at least 2 in a supervisory role.
• Strong leadership to motivate teams in a fast-paced setting.
• Solid understanding of lean manufacturing and quality control.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Proficiency with manufacturing software and ERP is an advantage.
• Relevant technical qualification in Engineering or Operations Management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise production staff to meet daily targets and quality standards.
• Enforce safety regulations and company policies for a secure workplace.
• Monitor processes, identify bottlenecks, implement efficiency improvements.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching and development.
• Manage inventory of raw materials and finished goods, optimize stock levels.
• Collaborate with quality control and maintenance teams to keep equipment running.
