Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Plant Operations Manager for a Welkom facility to lead safe, efficient manufacturing. You will oversee production, maintenance, quality control and staff, driving performance and continuous improvement.

The role requires a degree in engineering or operations management, 6+ years in plant leadership, strong ERP and production-planning skills, and a proven record of cost reduction and waste minimization. Relocation support may be provided.

Qualifications

Degree in Engineering, Operations Management or a related technical field.
Minimum 6 years' experience in plant management or senior manufacturing operations.
Proven track record of improving operational efficiency and reducing costs.

Responsibilities

Oversee all plant operations, ensuring production schedules and quality standards.
Enforce safety protocols and environmental regulations within the plant.
Manage plant budgets, control costs, and optimize resource allocation for efficiency.
Lead, train, and mentor plant staff, fostering safety, productivity, and teamwork.
Develop and execute continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance and reduce waste.
Collaborate with supply chain, engineering, and HR to ensure seamless operations.
