Placements24 is seeking a dynamic Manufacturing Plant Manager to lead a facility in Tembisa. The role focuses on optimizing production, quality, safety, and cost efficiency while driving continuous improvement and strategic execution.

The candidate will manage multiple departments, mentor leaders, and implement Lean/Six Sigma initiatives to sustain competitive advantage in a demanding market.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in plant management or senior manufacturing leadership.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, supply chain, and quality assurance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field; Master's preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all day-to-day operations of the manufacturing plant, including production, quality, and safety.
• Develop and execute strategic plans to increase productivity, reduce costs, and improve plant performance.
• Manage budgets, capital expenditures, and resource allocation to ensure operational efficiency and profitability.
• Implement and enforce stringent safety protocols and environmental regulations.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of managers and supervisors to foster a high-performance culture.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma, to optimize processes and product quality.
