Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical qualification.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in plant maintenance and mechanical engineering within a manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of industrial machinery, rotating equipment, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Proven experience with CMMS software.
• Leadership experience and the ability to manage a technical team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive preventative and predictive maintenance strategies for plant equipment.
• Oversee the repair and overhaul of mechanical systems, including pumps, motors, gearboxes, and conveyors.
• Conduct root cause failure analysis (RCFA) on equipment breakdowns and implement corrective actions.
• Manage spare parts inventory and liaise with suppliers for procurement of necessary components.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
• Supervise and mentor mechanical maintenance technicians and artisans.
