Job summary
Placements24 seeks an experienced Industrial Engineer for our Randburg, Gauteng facility. The role focuses on plant layout and facilities design to maximize efficiency, safety, and material flow, with strong CAD skills and an eye for detail.
You will design and validate layouts from concept through implementation, collaborating with production, maintenance, and safety teams. A manufacturing background and ergonomic understanding are essential to succeed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
- 4–6 years in industrial engineering with plant layout focus.
- Proficient in CAD and layout design.
Responsibilities
- Design and redesign plant layouts to optimize material flow and productivity.
- Create 2D and 3D facility layout models using CAD.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and safety teams to meet needs and standards.
- Analyze space utilization for consolidation or expansion.
- Plan installation of new equipment and lines for efficient integration.
- Develop layout simulations to test efficiency and identify bottlenecks.
- Conduct site surveys and measurements for design accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with codes, safety standards, and Randburg regulations.
