Job summary

Clicks Group is recruiting a Warehouse Supervisor (Inventory) for UPD Cape Town. Based in Montague Gardens, you will oversee inventory accuracy, supervise inventory controllers and stock clerks, ensure SOP adherence, and coordinate with Receiving, Dispatch and Finance to maintain stock integrity and service levels.

You will report to the Distribution Inbound department manager and support operational excellence through cycle counts, stock takes, and KPI reporting.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in a Pharmaceutical/Distribution & Wholesale/ FMCG/ Supply Chain & Logistics environment (Essential)
• 2 Years’ experience in stock management or inventory related functions
• 1–2 years supervisory/people management experience (essential)
• Knowledge of KNAPP or SAP is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Inventory accuracy and control: monitor stock levels, investigate variances, reconcile stock to system, perform cycle counts and stock takes.
• Team supervision: manage inventory controllers and stock clerks, allocate daily tasks, ensure SOP training.
• Warehouse compliance: adhere to policies, SOPs, maintain accurate records, handle regulated stock.
• Reporting and analysis: generate inventory reports and KPI dashboards, monitor losses and expiries, propose improvements.
• Investigations and root cause analysis: investigate stock gains/losses and customer complaints, implement preventive actions.
• Coordination with other departments: liaise with Receiving, Picking, Dispatch, Procurement, QA, Finance to ensure inventory availability.
