Placements24 seeks a highly skilled Petroleum Engineer to join their Midrand team, focusing on optimizing oil and gas production processes and ensuring maximum yield from existing reserves. You will collaborate with geoscientists and reservoir engineers, analyze well performance, and implement artificial lift and stimulation strategies.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in production engineering, proficiency with reservoir simulation tools, and a strong grasp of reservoir mechanics and wellbore

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of production engineering experience in oil and gas.
• Proficiency with reservoir simulation software and production analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of reservoir mechanics, fluid flow, and wellbore hydraulics.
• Experience with artificial lift technologies (ESP, rod pumps, gas lift).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze well performance data to identify opportunities for production optimization.
• Develop and implement strategies for artificial lift systems, well stimulation, and water/gas injection.
• Monitor reservoir conditions and production trends, recommending adjustments to maximize recovery.
• Conduct technical evaluations of new and existing wells, providing insights for operational strategies.
• Collaborate with geoscientists and reservoir engineers to integrate subsurface data into production plans.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
