Placements24 is seeking a proactive Field Production Engineer to manage and optimize production operations at facilities near Klerksdorp, South Africa. This hands-on role focuses on monitoring well performance, diagnosing issues, and implementing solutions to maximize hydrocarbon recovery.

You will work with field teams, maintenance, and reservoir engineers to ensure safe, efficient operations, with opportunities for advancement and a track record of operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in oil and gas production engineering; field experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to work in a field environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily production rates and well performance, identifying deviations and issues.
• Analyze production data to diagnose problems and recommend optimization solutions.
• Implement artificial lift systems and optimize their performance.
• Collaborate with geologists and reservoir engineers on development and production planning.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations in field activities.
