Placements24 is seeking a Production Engineer in Vereeniging to optimize hydrocarbon production from existing fields. The role involves monitoring well performance, diagnosing production issues, and implementing solutions to maximize output and efficiency within Oil & Gas operations.
You will collaborate with operations and reservoir engineers to ensure safe, efficient production plans and contribute to revenue streams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant petroleum engineering field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in oil and gas production engineering.
- Strong understanding of artificial lift systems and production optimization techniques.
- Proficiency in production data analysis and Excel for reporting.
Responsibilities
- Monitor daily production performance of wells and facilities, identifying deviations from expected parameters.
- Analyze production data to diagnose issues such as artificial lift failures, scaling, or formation damage.
- Recommend and implement production enhancement techniques including artificial lift optimization and stimulation.
- Collaborate with reservoir engineering to align production plans with reservoir management objectives.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations related to production operations.
- Prepare production forecasts, reports, and economic evaluations for projects.
