The role requires deep expertise in reservoir characterization, simulation, and performance monitoring, with strong data analysis and communication skills to drive efficient operations in South Africa's energy sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in reservoir engineering, simulation, and data analysis.
• Proficiency with reservoir simulation software (e.g., ECLIPSE, CMG) and data analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of reservoir physics, fluid flow, and rock mechanics.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience in the Oil & Gas industry is essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive reservoir characterization studies using geological and geophysical data.
• Develop and execute reservoir simulation models to predict future performance and optimize recovery strategies.
• Analyze production data, identify decline trends, and recommend appropriate workover and stimulation programs.
• Evaluate the economic viability of new development projects and enhanced oil recovery (EOR) techniques.
• Collaborate with drilling and production teams to ensure optimal well placement and completion designs.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
