Absolute Pets in South Africa is seeking a Financial Accountant (Payroll Administrator) on a maternity cover until 31 May 2027. You will largely support the processing of payroll for approximately 800 employees and manage related administrative tasks within the payroll function.

Responsibilities include maintaining employee banking details, reconciling payroll accounts, handling queries, and assisting with ad-hoc finance projects as needed by the team.

Responsibilities

• Process monthly payroll for approximately 800 employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Compile clocking issue reports and time registers, reconcile discrepancies with managers.
• Maintain employee banking details and staff movement tracking for reporting.
• Review overtime, new hires/terminations clocking, and handle payroll queries.
• Prepare payroll-related reports and reconcile payroll GL accounts.
