Job summary

ABSOLUTE PETS is seeking a Financial Accountant to cover maternity leave until 31 May 2027. The role centers on payroll processing, including hours from rosters, time registers, backpay, and leave, along with core financial reporting and processing duties.

The successful candidate will handle payroll queries, GL reconciliations, credit card spend, and ad-hoc finance tasks within a busy retail group that services over 200 stores nationwide.

Qualifications

• Payroll processing duties as described in the role.
• Experience with weekly/monthly financial reporting.
• Handling credit card processing and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll hours from rosters and clocking.
• Prepare time register reports and reconcile discrepancies.
• Review clocking feedback and adjust hours.
• Manage payroll-related queries and monthly GL reconciliations.
• Prepare staff turnover and related payroll reports.
• Process credit card spend and reconciliations.
• Handle insurance claims and general finance admin.
