Job summary

Exceed Human Resource Consultants in Gauteng seeks a meticulous payroll administrator to manage bi-weekly wage payroll using Sage 300 Payroll, process wages, overtime, leave and deductions, and maintain accurate records.

You will reconcile payroll data, handle time and attendance via biometric systems, support onboarding and HR admin, respond to employee queries, and ensure deadlines and compliance with labour requirements.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification or experience in Payroll, HR, Finance or related field.
• Proven experience processing bi-weekly wage payroll is essential.
• Sage 300 Payroll knowledge is essential.
• Experience with biometric or time and attendance systems.
• Experience managing large employee payrolls and confidential data.
• Strong Excel and computer skills; HR admin experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage full bi-weekly wage payroll using Sage 300 Payroll.
• Process wages, overtime, leave, allowances and deductions.
• Reconcile payroll information and resolve discrepancies before submission.
• Manage time and attendance records using biometric systems.
• Investigate missing clockings, absenteeism and incorrect hours.
• Maintain accurate employee records and payroll documentation.
• Assist with onboarding, terminations, transfers and HR admin.
• Prepare payroll reports and month-end payroll payments.
• Handle employee queries and workplace concerns professionally.
• Support disciplinary hearings and employee relations processes.
