Absolute Pets (Pty) Ltd. is seeking a focused Financial Accountant on a maternity cover basis. The role centers on timely payroll processing for about 800 employees, accurate timekeeping adjustments, and complete payroll reconciliations.

Qualifications

• Experience with monthly payroll for large staffs (approx. 800 employees).
• Strong reconciliation and reporting capabilities are essential.
• Detail-oriented with accuracy in payroll deductions and banking details.

Responsibilities

• Process monthly payroll and related documents for staff.
• Reconcile payroll GL accounts and maintain payroll covenants.
• Prepare payroll reports, turnover, and related stock/credit card reporting.
• Maintain employee banking details and staff movement for reporting.
• Handle payroll queries and assist with ad-hoc finance projects.
