Placements24 seeks a detail-driven Payroll Accountant to oversee payroll processing and related accounting functions for its client in Mahikeng, North West. You will ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries, wages, and benefits while maintaining compliance with SA payroll regulations.

The role requires strong payroll expertise, proficiency in VIP or Sage, and solid accounting knowledge; you will reconcile payroll accounts and support financial reporting within a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• National Diploma in Accounting or Payroll Management or related field.
• Proven experience in payroll processing and accounting.
• In-depth knowledge of South African payroll legislation and tax laws.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly or monthly payroll accurately for all employees.
• Ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations (PAYE, UIF, SDL).
• Manage employee payroll records including hires, terminations, status changes.
• Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies.
