Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Remote Payroll Accountant to manage payroll processing nationwide for a fully remote role. You will maintain payroll records, ensure compliance with South African labor and tax regulations, and serve as the main contact for payroll inquiries.

Responsibilities include processing bi-weekly or monthly payroll, handling PAYE, UIF, SDL filings, updating records for hires and terminations, answering queries, and conducting regular payroll audits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Payroll Accountant or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of South African payroll laws and tax regulations.
• Proficiency with payroll software (VIP Payroll, Sage) and HRIS systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills suitable for a remote environment.
