Job summary

Morgan Industries Limited in Welkom is seeking a Parts Department Manager to drive profitability and meet manufacturer and dealership targets. You will control inventory, monitor stock levels, oversee pricing, and lead a team to deliver high performance.

Additionally, visiting distributors and trade outlets to sell parts and accessories, ensuring discounts are applied and customer satisfaction is maintained, will form part of your responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 certificate is required.
• At least 1 year of managerial experience.
• 3–5 years of parts experience in a related field.
• Excellent communication and customer service.
• Clear criminal record and computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Monitor stock levels daily to maintain manufacturer stock levels.
• Manage cash outstanding on a daily basis.
• Clear out aged stock and conduct stock takes weekly to yearly.
• Ensure Parts Sales Target and Profitability are met; drive customer satisfaction.
• Develop and implement marketing strategies and lead a high-performance team.
• Visit distributors, fleet owners and trade outlets to sell parts and accessories.
• Ensure exchange items are returned and company discounts are applied.

Main Purpose of Job

The successful candidate will have to ensure the profitability of the Parts Department. The successful candidate will furthermore be responsible to ensure manufacturer and dealership targets are met. Lastly the candidate would need to have strict control over inventory.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required

Grade 12 certificate

Minimum of 1 year managerial experience

Minimum of 3 - 5 years' parts experience

Exceptional communication skills

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Monitor stock levels daily to ensure relevant manufacturer stock levels are maintained.

Manage cash outstanding on a daily basis.

Manage and actively clear out aged stock.

Conduct stock takes on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly.

Ensure Parts Sales Target and Profitability are met.

Ensure Customer Satisfaction.

Develop and Implement Marketing Strategies.

Manage Team for High Performance Culture.

To visit distributors, fleet owners, trade outlets and shops to sell parts and accessories

To ensure all exchange items are returned.

To ensure company discount structure is properly applied.

To care for company property and ensure economic use e.g. car/delivery van.
