Job summary

Morgan Motor Group in Ermelo is seeking a Parts Manager to drive profitability of the parts department and meet manufacturer and dealer targets while maintaining tight inventory control.

The role requires strong communication, customer service, and proven managerial and parts experience. You will lead a team, manage stock, visit distributors, and ensure discount policies are applied and assets are well cared for.

Qualifications

• At least Grade 12 certificate.
• Minimum of 1 year managerial experience.
• Minimum of 3–5 years' parts experience.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Clear criminal record and computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Monitor stock levels daily to maintain manufacturer stock levels.
• Manage daily cash outstanding.
• Clear out aged stock actively.
• Perform weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly stock takes.
• Meet parts sales targets and profitability.
• Ensure customer satisfaction.
• Develop and implement marketing strategies.
• Lead the team for a high performance culture.
• Visit distributors, fleet owners, trade outlets to sell parts.
• Ensure exchange items are returned.
• Apply the company discount structure correctly.
• Care for company property and ensure economical use (e.g., vehicle).

Main Purpose of Job

The successful candidate will have to ensure the profitability of the Parts Department. The successful candidate will furthermore be responsible to ensure manufacturer and dealership targets are met. Lastly the candidate would need to have strict control over inventory.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor stock levels daily to ensure relevant manufacturer stock levels are maintained.
• Manage cash outstanding on a daily basis.
• Manage and actively clear out aged stock.
• Conduct stock takes on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly.
• Ensure Parts Sales Target and Profitability are met.
• Ensure Customer Satisfaction.
• Develop and Implement Marketing Strategies.
