Job summary

Zohorecruit in eMalahleni, South Africa is seeking an OT System Technician to maintain, optimise and support Infrastructure Hardware, Software, and Applications in the IM Department. The role requires diagnosing, troubleshooting, imaging, and documenting procedures with a focus on uptime.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of IT infrastructure experience, strong TCP/IP and DNS knowledge, and experience with Microsoft server environments.

Qualifications

• Strong IT infrastructure knowledge and system integration experience.
• Proficient in TCP/IP and DNS, with server administration skills.
• Experience with OS imaging technology and standard installations.
• Ability to document procedures, standards, and activities.
• Self-starter with minimal supervision and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Initial problem definition and diagnostic steps to resolution.
• Support, monitor, test, and troubleshoot hardware/software issues.
• Configure and troubleshoot Cisco switches.
• Support end-users, account maintenance, and training.
• Inventory/asset management for IIT resources (servers/workstations).
• Automate tasks and assist in routine administration.
• Produce technical/architectural documentation to standards.
• Maximise system availability via fault-tolerant setups and monitoring.
• Explain technical solutions to non-technical staff.
• Stay updated on advances in technology and perform duties as assigned.
