Job Title: Slitter Operator

Job Description:

Determine High-Risk Areas and notify Senior Operators to revise the area list

Maintain machine conditions and report any deviations to Senior Operators for inclusion in abnormality reports.

Ensure quality standards are met according to SOP, WI, ISO / FSMS & TQM protocols.

Communicate to resolve mechanical issues, report defective materials, coordinate job preparations, changeovers and daily shift information.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately and timely report production metrics including waste, WIP, time codes, raw materials, etc.
• Ensure personal safety while operating the machine and that of those assisting with operations, and ensure Bare Roll Jumbo Slitting as per production plan
• Verify jumbo stock reports against physical inventory; prepare for paper core and set changes
• Loading of jumbo rolls
• Safe Blade management (Count, Replace defective blades)
• Set up, maintain and Operate all Slitter machines
• Adjust machine parameters according to specification record changes from recipe
• Examine and Monitor defects during and after slitting
• Monitor slitting process
• Set up pallets for unloading rolls and Verify RFID Tag Reader
• Unload rolls onto pallets on conveyors
• Ensure SCIP Data Entry, Pasting of Roll detail Labels & Correct Log Book Records
