Job summary

Röhlig & Co is seeking a Client Centric Operations Manager for our Pharma division in Port Elizabeth. The role demands 8–10 years in Seafreight and Airfreight with supervisory experience and strong process knowledge across the supply chain.

The candidate should understand Incoterms, international trade principles, and demonstrate problem solving, time management and delegation abilities in a high-pressure environment.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 certificate is required.
• 3-year freight forwarding qualification at NQF level 6 is required.
• Extensive freight forwarding knowledge with leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the movement of cargo by sea and air.
• Administer shipment files and ensure accuracy.
• Manage Seafreight and Airfreight channels effectively.
• Oversee financial management related to shipments.
• Audit department files and ensure compliance.
• Invoicing and quality checking of documents.
• Sign off on cost sheets and ensure QA adherence.
• Support quality management system requirements; handle ad hoc tasks.

Qualification

• Grade 12 Certificate
• 3-year freight forwarding related qualification at NQF level 6

Knowledge and experience

• 8 – 10 years Seafreight and Airfreight experience in Freight Forwarding Industry of which 2-3 years were in a supervisory capacity
• INCO Terms. Process knowledge on the movement of goods throughout the supply chain
• Basic international trade principles
• Critical thinking skills, problem solving techniques, excellent time management skills
• Delegation, coaching, mentoring and counselling
• Encouraging-motivating a comfortable working environment
• The ability to organise a team effectively and efficiently
