Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Continuous Improvement Engineer to champion operational excellence at our East London operations. The role focuses on identifying, analyzing, and implementing process improvements across all functions to drive efficiency and reduce waste in the Eastern Cape.

You will lead Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen initiatives, develop KPIs, and collaborate with teams to sustain changes, with a hybrid work arrangement offering flexibility between office and remote work in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in continuous improvement or operations excellence.
• Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (certification a plus), and Kaizen events.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Eastern Cape manufacturing sector is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead the identification and implementation of process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies.
• Analyze current operations to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for optimization in East London.
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions on continuous improvement tools and techniques.
• Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of improvement projects.
• Collaborate with departmental teams to ensure successful adoption and sustainability of changes.
• Document best practices and create standard operating procedures to institutionalize improvements.
